The owner of Vortex had just started up business offering mobile laser tag for birthday parties and events. The special guns they use work during the day unlike most laser tag systems and the obstacles are inflatable crates and tanks. Games were called Missions and included the typical Capture the Flag and Survival as well as innovative names like Traitor and Adults vs Kids.
The original name for the business was something not too unique or memorable so I actually encouraged them to use their parent company name, Vortex. I thought it reflected perfectly their unique use of the inflatable obstacles and was just more memorable. It was the client’s idea to use “laser battle” instead of the common “laser tag” which was inspired by the battle-zone setup of the events.
